Lifestyle Newborn Session
Congratulations on your sweet new addition! Capturing motherhood is my absolute favorite and I look forward to working with you and your family.
When do I book my newborn session?
The sooner the better! All you have to do is reach out to me and let me know your due date asap and I will send over dates around your estimated due date. I ask that you keep me updated with your last few appointments with any changes to your due date. If you receive an induction date or have a section scheduled please let me know as well. I recommend the first 14 days for newborn photos, but I do photograph newborns of all ages. If you are expecting and want a newborn session, fill out a form below and I will reach out to you with dates to get your session scheduled. We can also chat over details and I can answer any questions you may have ahead of time!
Where will the session be?
The session will take place at my studio in Jennings, La or at the convenience of your home. The studio is all white and full of natural light, making it ideal for those bright and airy portraits.
What type of posing do you do?
Mom, dad, and siblings are all welcome and encouraged to be in the pictures. My perfect vision of your session is capturing all the sweet in-between moments of you and your family connecting with your new bundle of joy! The following poses are included: whole family, mom and baby, dad and baby, baby and siblings, baby by themself, and detail shots.
What do I need to bring?
Nothing is needed for the session; however, you are welcome to bring any outfits, gowns, bonnets, bows, hats, etc. Just remember light colored clothing photographs best! The studio is filled with Moses baskets, swaddles, gowns, bonnets, bows, wraps, toddler outfits, and dresses for mom.
Recommendations on outfits?
This is by far the most important part in planning your session! Neutral tones like whites, creams, beige, light blues, soft pinks, etc. all photograph soft and pretty in the studio. Bright, dark colors take away from baby and cast dark shadows. If you need any outfit ideas feel free to reach out to me, I’d love to help!
What’s included?
Newborn sessions last anywhere from 45 minutes to 60 minutes depending on baby’s needs and wants at the time of the session. Please do not worry if your baby needs to be fed or changed at the time of your session. As a momma of three I’m well aware that babies make their own schedules! Once your session is over you can expect to receive your gallery within 3 weeks. I do offer rush editing which allows you to receive your gallery within 72 hours of your session. Rush editing is an additional $75. Please let me know if you would like rush editing at your session. The gallery will be delivered via email and through text message. In that email you will receive a photo release allowing you to print your images wherever you may like. The session is $375 and you will receive 40 digital images.
Do you do in home newborn sessions?
Absolutely, I love capturing a sweet new baby at home! Not feeling up to getting out or wanting those pretty PINTEREST pictures of baby in their nursery? I load my vehicle up with everything needed and come to you! Sessions start at $400 and travel fees are based on your location.
